Pride

The Phuket Loves You club is a structured organization that was created over 5 years ago with three objectives:

  1. To build a stronger LGBT community in Phuket consisting of both Thai and Farang (Foreigners)
  2. To raise money for LGBT & HIV Charities in Phuket, through which we will be able to offer our Thai friends better access to quality sexual health information and support.
  3. To encourage more LGBT tourists and visitors from all over the world to come to Phuket and particularly Patong, where the large majority of gays and transgender people live and come to party. We want and bring closer together the LGBT communities of Paradise, Soi Tan and Phuket town.

All funds raised during Phuket Loves You Club major fundraising event “Phuket Pride” supports creating a healthier Thai and Expat LGBT community in Phuket

Phuket Loves You Club, through its fundraising event Phuket Pride, in 2015 raised 330,000 baht which after retaining a percentage of funds for future events, 300,000 was distributed to various LGBT & HIV/AIDS charities in Phuket.

Phuket Pride is proud to announce 2016 theme “Hand in Hand in Thailand”

Songkran 2017 - Songkran Bangkok Gay Circuit Party 2017

In Thailand's largest city, Bangkok, the annual Thai New Year's celebration, the Songkran Festival, has taken on particular meaning in recent years for GLBT residents and visitors. This mid-April weekend is also the Songkran Bangkok Gay Circuit Party, billed the largest-such gay celebration in Asia - it celebrates its 11th anniversary in 2016. The dates of this long weekend of parties this year is April 14 through April 16, 2017.

More details about Songkran will be posted here as information is finalized. Here's a look at last year's event:

Produced by GCircuit, Songkran consists of four days of parties, starting on Thursday, with a Glam Gala and After Party at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. On Friday night, revelers officially kick off the weekend at the Olympus Opening Party at Centralworld. Then there's the main event, on Saturday, Dynasty (hosted this year by DJ Twisted Dee and DJ Abel), again at Centralworld, and Sunday's closing party, Prism, which is once again held at Centralworld.

There are also three big pool parties: the Bear Soap, Bear Pool Party on Saturday from 1 pm until 7 pm at the Doubletree by Hilton Pool, the Boy Soap, Boy Pool Party 1 at the Sofitel So Bangkok on Saturday from 1 pm until 7 pm, and the Boy Soap, Boy Pool Party 2 back at the Doubletree by Hilton Pool on Sunday from 1 pm until 7 pm. Tickets to all events are available here online.

The evening parties all take place at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. Here's a map showing where the key venues are located.

The featured host hotels for Songkran are the Sofitel So Bangkok, the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, and the Doubletree by Hilton Sukhumvit-Bangkok. You'll also find information about other gay-friendly hotels in Bangkok on this lodging page, along with advice on apartment rentals.
